Two instruments can share the same pattern and still feel completely different in the hand. Much of that difference comes from the surface finish.

Satin

A brushed, low-glare surface. Buyers of clinical instruments often prefer it because it reflects less light under strong lamps and hides fine handling marks well.

Mirror polish

A high-polish surface that presents well in retail packaging and display cases. It shows fingerprints more readily, so it suits ranges where presentation matters most.

Matte / sand-blasted

A uniform, non-reflective texture with a calm, technical look. It is a common choice when a brand wants a modern, understated range.

Coloured coatings

Rose-tone and dark coatings give beauty and retail lines a distinct identity. Colour, shade and durability depend on the coating process, so they should always be confirmed on a physical sample.

How to decide

  • Who uses it? Professionals working under bright light often favour satin or matte.
  • Where is it sold? Retail and gift ranges often favour mirror or coloured finishes.
  • How is it marked? A laser mark reads differently on each surface — try your brand name in our finish preview.
Finish availability, colour and durability are confirmed in writing for each order. A preview on screen is only a guide — the approved sample is the reference.

Not sure which finish suits your range? Ask us and include where the instruments will be sold.
